Mid-America Construction Company was founded in 1971 and since that time has constructed more than six and a half million square feet of office space, warehouses, shopping centers, hotel expansions, and other projects. The company is responsible for the construction of a wide variety of high-profile projects, including the Community Health Systems (CHS) corporate headquarters building in Franklin, TN, The Podiatry Insurance Company of America (PICA) corporate headquarters building in Franklin, TN., SunTrust building in Ridgeway Center, Thomas & Betts corporate headquarters building at Southwind, Helena Chemical at Schilling Farms corporate headquarters, Marsh Center and the Morgan Keegan building in Ridgeway Center, the Southern Regional Headquarters building for the United States Postal Service, the Baptist Memorial Health Care corporation headquarters. Mid-America Construction Company also handled the historic renovation of the 12-story Shrine Building in downtown Memphis in 1980.

Mid-America Construction Company is known for its innovative, pioneering work at Ridgeway Center, Memphis' first office park built in 1972. With the many corporate office buildings constructed by Mid-America Construction Company at Ridgeway Center, the company has become known for setting the standards for Class A office space.
