Construction began in September 1997 on Boyle's new 50,000-square-foot corporate office building at 6305 Humphreys Boulevard, and initial occupancy began this fall. Data Communications Corporation, a provider of computer services to the millwork industry, moved its 25 employees into its 10,000-square-foot space in October.
Land development work is under way on about 17 acres on the north side of Walnut Grove in Humphreys Center near Christian Brothers High School. Humphreys Boulevard will be extended about 500 feet from its present terminus on the north side of Walnut Grove to serve the 17 acres, the final portion of that development, said Russell ‘Rusty’ Bloodworth, Jr., executive vice president of Boyle Investment Co., principal developer of Humphreys Center, has zoning for multiple uses there, Bloodworth said. "We expect to sell the sites, rather than develop it."
