in 1971 and since that time has constructed more than five
million square feet of office space, warehouses, shopping
centers, hotel expansions, and other projects. The company
is responsible for the construction of a wide variety of
high-profile projects, including the Thomas & Betts headquarters
building at Southwind, Sedgwick Center in Ridgeway Center,

States Postal Service. Mid-America Construction also handled
the historic renovation of the 12-story Shrine Building in

Mid-America Construction Company
is known for its innovative, pioneering work at Ridgeway
Center, Memphis' first office park built in 1972. With
the many corporate office buildings constructed by Mid-America
at Ridgeway Center, the company has become known for setting
the standards for "Class
A" office space. Mid-America handles both interior and
exterior construction, and has completed more square feet
of "Class A" interior space than any other firm
in Memphis. Over the years the company's projects have received
numerous awards.
The company approaches every project from the building owner's
perspective, and is extremely conscious of a variety of requirements,
including cost-effectiveness, feasibility, aesthetics, and
leasibility. Mid-America Construction has a tremendous amount
of historical data available on all types of projects and
utilizes this information to accurately project costs and
schedules for buildings in the very early stages of consideration
of design. The company works closely with the architects
in the various stages of design to ensure that a project
is completed on schedule and within budget.
