Top Performers in Commercial Real Estate Honored During MAAR’S Pinnacle Awards

The Memphis Area Association of Realtors Commercial Council recognized the top performers in commercial real estate April 10 during the 7th annual Pinnacle Awards.

Boyle Investment Co. executive vice president Mark Halperin was named Broker of the Year, a honor voted on by his peers.

"Mark has been instrumental in the growth of the Memphis office market over a long period of time," Steve Guinn, MAAR Commercial Council president, says. "He’s been one of the pillars of the commercial real estate industry in Memphis."

Colliers Wilkinson & Snowden chairman Dan Wilkinson was inducted into the MAAR Commercial Council Hall of Fame.

"Dan has led the way in the growth of the industrial market in Memphis," Guinn says. "For a number of years, Memphis has been known as ‘America’s Distribution Center,’ and I think Dan has been one of the leaders in helping that to happen."

Legacy award winner Robert G. Snowden was honored posthumously for his planning and development work in East Memphis. Bayard Snowden accepted the award in his father’s honor.

Joseph ‘Jody’ McKibben, affiliate broker with Investec Realty Services, won Newcomer of the Year award as the highest producing broker with no more than two years’ experience.

Broker of the Year awards for 2007 went to Brad Kornegay, Colliers Management Services, industrial leasing; Frank Quinn, CB Richard Ellis, industrial sales; Mark Halperin, Boyle Investment Co., office leasing; John Lamberson, CB Richard Ellis, office sales; Timm Stubbs, Stubbs Commercial Realtors, retail; Blake Pera, CB Richard Ellis, Multi-family; and John Waddell, Crye-Leike Property Management, land sales.

Wyatt Aiken, Frazier Baker, Tommy Bronson, Chris Brown, Kemp Conrad, Jeb Fields, Pat Gamble, Ron Kastner, Joseph ‘Jody’ McKibben, Jim Mercer, John Mercer, Brad Murchison, Jason Polley, Patrick Reilly, Ron Riley, Joe Steffner, Cary Whitehead and Steve Woodyard rounded out the Pinnacle Awards’ Top 25 brokers.
