Helena Chemical Occupies New Corporate Offices at Schilling Farms

Helena Chemical Corporation recently moved into its new office headquarters facility at Schilling Farms in Collierville. The four-story, 104,000 square-foot "Class A" office building is located on a 6.2-acre site near the center of the 443-acre Schillings Farms community.

The employees of Helena Chemical Corporation are enjoying a new state-of-the-art office headquarters facility at Schilling Farms in Collierville. The company took occupancy of the new 104,000-square-foot office building in the fall of 2001. The building is the first "Class A" multi-story office building in Collierville, and with its completion Schilling Farms is on the way to becoming the major corporate office center for the town.

Helena’s corporate headquarters facility is located on a 6.2-acre site near the center of Schilling Farms, which eventually will offer more than 1 million square feet of office space. The building’s floor plan is similar to that of the new Morgan Keegan Building and Marsh Center that Boyle developed in Ridgeway Center in East Memphis. The four-story building is constructed of brick, pre-cast concrete and high-performance reflective glass, and is fully wired to meet all of the new technical requirements for high-speed communication.

"Our new headquarters at Schilling Farms has more than met our expectations," says Jim Arnold, Helena’s spokesman. "Not only is it situated in a pleasant setting, but the high-speed communications infrastructure is helping us communicate more effectively with our employees across the country, as well as our suppliers and vendors. The result is a dramatic increase in productivity and business efficiency."

Almost 40 percent of the building’s site is devoted to open space, and the building’s ambiance will be enhanced by the planting of more than 350 trees. The new corporate office building’s location in the Schilling Farms community makes it convenient for employees to utilize the Schilling Farms YMCA and day care center right down the street. Employees can shorten their commute to the office by living in one of the many residential neighborhoods at Schilling Farms. Other amenities for office workers at Schilling Farms include physicians’ offices, restaurants, banks, and eventually retail shops.

"Helena occupies 80 percent of the building, and the remainder of the building’s space is available for lease," says Mark Halperin, executive vice president of office properties for Boyle.
