International Company Plans Ground-Breaking Ceremony

Orion Packaging Systems will hold a ground-breaking ceremony tomorrow (Friday) at 10 a.m. for the company’s new 20,000-square-foot facility at Schilling Farms in Collierville.

"We are excited about building the new facility for our expanding company," said Orion vice president Glenn Greene.

Memphis is the national distribution headquarters for Orion, a leading manufacturer of durable stretchwrapping machines, which are distributed internationally.

The new building in Collierville will house Orion’s sales headquarters, full inventory of spare parts, technical service, customer service, and accounting departments. In addition, the Schilling Farms facility will hold increased warehouse space for Orion’s Memphis Stock Machine Program, complete sales and service training facilities, and an equipment showroom for demonstrations and product testing.

The current schedule indicates that the Collierville facility will open by January of 2000.
