Hometown: Memphis

Education: St. Agnes Academy; Bachelor in Accounting, University of South Carolina; Master of Accountancy, University of Memphis

What you most like about your job: I am able to focus on the areas of tax law and accounting that have always interested me most, all while continuing to refine my skills in these areas.

Short-term professional goal: Learn all the intricacies of the different aspects of my new role in order to be effective and streamline our processes

Something about you that would surprise people: If given the right timing and circumstances, I would seize the opportunity to go to law school.

Books read recently:“The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo (With two boys, a full-time job, and two dogs, I need all the help I can get!)

Favorite quote:“Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in 10 years.” — Bill Gates

Something in your refrigerator right now: Blueberries and kefir

Most important characteristics of a leader: Character. Ability is useless if people don’t believe in you.

Your impressions of Memphis: Memphis is home to me. I believe we are a city with a tremendous amount of positive momentum, and the sky is the limit with how great this city can be.

If you won the lottery, you would…: Boring answer I know, but I would pay off my debts, establish trusts for the boys, and donate to charities near and dear to me such as Make-A-Wish and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. And then maybe, after all of that, I would buy a fabulous beach house in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, to vacation in during the summer.
