Muddy Boots Tour to Preview Schilling Farms for Vesta Show

– The Collierville Herald –

Schilling Farms will be the main attraction on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon as the Memphis Area Home Builders Association will hold the "Muddy Boots Tour" through six homes under construction that will be part of the 1999 Vesta Home Show in Collierville during the month of October.

Building and design enthusiasts will be able to see the homes under construction at the Neighborhood of Schilling Farms free of charge.

"The Muddy Boots Tour gives the public a whole new perspective and insight into Vesta," said Amy Donald, special events director for the Memphis Area Home Builders Association. "The details and craftsmanship that make these homes really unique can best be appreciated at this early stage of development."

"The innovative design and custom features that differentiate a Vesta Home will be all the more visible in this infancy stage," said Ms. Donald. "The homes will be near enough to completion to truly appreciate the magnificent stairwells, custom flooring, and lavish architecture. It will be before the decorative wall-coverings, before the exceptional furnishings, and before the tailored landscaping."

The Vesta Home Show, now in its 15th year, is glad to be back in Collierville on McGinnis Circle at Schilling Farms. The event was last held in the town in 1996 at Almadale Farms.

The move is particularly appropriate this year as Collierville is one of the fastest growing cities I Tennessee in terms of residential new home building, according to David Parsons, chairman of the 1999 Vesta Show.

"Many of our builders area already heavily involved in the Collierville area," said Parsons. "Collierville is the ideal city for an event known for showcasing progressive building ideas. We couldn’t have asked for a better location than the Neighborhood of Schilling Farms.
