An intricate floor pattern of multi-colored granite, rich mahogany walls, and doors trimmed in Italian marble will make Sedgwick Center, Boyle’s new office building currently under construction in Ridgeway Center, some of the most attractive office space in Memphis.

The building’s lobby will have vaulted and coffered ceilings and customized lighting throughout. “We wanted to design a lobby that is as rich s the exterior of the building,” said Dan Elias of the Hnedak Bobo Group, the building’s designer. “Our goal was to create a sense of pride of ownership among the tenants so that they would feel good about coming to work each day.”

Although the 155,000-square-foot, six-story Sedgwick Center takes its name from its principal tenant, a total of 40,000 square feet of space is still available for lease. According to Mark Halperin, senior vice president of office leasing and management for Boyle, this will be some of the finest as well as the only new space available in the city.

“We currently have over 10,000 square feet available on the ground floor, which is a unique situation because there is not much ground-floor space on the market in East Memphis.” Halperin added that there is additional space available for lease on the second and third floors of the building.

“In addition to superb location and the opportunity to customize space, the building will provide its tenants with high visibility from Poplar Avenue,” Halperin said.

Sedgwick Center is being built by Mid-America Construction Company, an affiliate of Boyle, for occupancy in the fall of 1995.
