Retail Centers Underway in DeSoto County, Mississippi & Collierville, Tennessee

Boyle is active in the retail market with new shopping centers under development in the fast-growing areas of DeSoto County, Mississippi, and Collierville, Tennessee.

Southcrest Market. Boyle broke ground in November 2006 on its first retail project in DeSoto County. Located at the most important retail intersection in Southaven, Mississippi, Boyle’s new development, Southcrest Market, is located at the northeast corner of Goodman Road and Interstate 55. When complete, the center will offer 80,000 square feet of retail space. Initial occupancy is anticipated for the fall of 2007.

“Southcrest Market is a regional destination strategically located at the busiest intersections in Southaven,” says Cary Whitehead, Senior Vice President for Boyle. The center is anchored by a 30,000 square foot Best Buy store and will have another in-line anchor adjacent to it. Boyle will be constructing a 16,000 square foot building adjacent to Best Buy for small shops space. A Longhorn Steakhouse will be constructed on one of two out lots available along Goodman Road. Southcrest Market is just north of Southaven Towne Center, a 400,000 square foot lifestyle center which opened in 2005.

The architect for the project is MJM Architects of Nashville, and construction is being handled by Mid-America Construction, a Boyle-owned company.

Gallina Centro. Several new retailers are now open at Gallina Centro, Boyle’s 350,000 square foot retail center at the intersection of Poplar Avenue and Houston Levee Road, the common border of Collierville and Germantown, Tennessee.

A new Starbucks store and First State Bank were recently completed and both offer customers convenient drive-through service. Gallina Centro is anchored by Kroger, Stein Mart and Kohl’s. Other national tenants include Walgreens, Pier 1 Imports, Rack Room Shoes, Catherines, Merle Norman and McDonalds.
