Shops of Forest Hill in Germantown Welcomes New Retailers and Restaurants

The Mellow Mushroom opened in January with much fanfare and an overwhelmingly positive response from diners. “The grand opening has been fabulous,” said owner Cary Fairless. “We’ve experienced great interest and support from the community, and the Shops of Forest Hill’s central location between Germantown and Collierville has proven to be a big factor in our success.” The Mellow Mushroom is a great place for a wide breadth of customers ranging from families with children to working professionals who want to catch a ballgame at the bar on their way home from the office. While the Mellow Mushroom’s specialty is pizza, the menu is an eclectic collection of salads, calzones, and hoagies.
The popular Soul Fish Cafe offers diners delicious catfish and fresh vegetables.

Following the success of their restaurant in midtown Memphis, Raymond Williams and Tiger Bryant have opened a second Soul Fish Café at the Shops of Forest Hill. The full-service restaurant specializes in authentic southern comfort food, including fried catfish, chicken, po’ boys, and fresh vegetables. “With the opening of the new Soul Fish Cafe in Germantown, everyone out east can enjoy our fresh, bona fide fare and fun atmosphere,” said Tiger Bryant. “You can’t eat at a fine-dining restaurant every night. People are looking for something affordable and we serve good, wholesome, inexpensive food in an environment where families are comfortable.”

In addition to the recent new tenants at Shops of Forest Hill in Germantown, Boyle recently has executed new leases in Collierville. These include Gililland Orthodontics and Cavalier Cleaners at Gallina Centro (Poplar at Houston Levee) and Captain D’s Restaurant at Great Oaks (Poplar at Byhalia).

Retailers at Boyle managed centers have reported a healthy increase in sales in 2010.
