Boyle Investment Company is actively involved in the development of six new retail centers in both Memphis and Fort Worth, according to Cary Whitehead, Boyle senior vice president of retail development.
Site work has begun on Gallina Centro, a 400,000- square-foot power center at the common border between Germantown and Collierville. This high-profile shopping center is part of a comprehensive, 95-acre multi-use development at the southwest corner of Poplar Avenue and Houston Levee Road, with Winchester Road bordering on the south. Negotiations are ongoing with several potential "big box" anchor tenants.
"Gallina Centro offers excellent accessibility, given the center’s frontage on three major roads," says Whitehead. "It’s within easy reach of both Germantown and Collierville, and is convenient for employees at the new FedEx campus and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville.
The development of Village Commons at Johnson Road and Poplar Avenue in Germantown is well underway. Construction is complete on a new Walgreens and two motels, a Fairfield Inn and a Residence Inn. One 2.5-acre out-parcel is still available.
