Gary Thompson

Senior Vice President

Responsibilities:As Senior Vice President of Boyle, Thompson is currently responsible for acquiring, planning, developing, selling and managing Boyle's residential properties. These properties include joint ventures with landowners as well as those owned by Boyle Investment Company.

Professional Record:A licensed landscape architect, Thompson’s career has been focused on the design and management of large-scale, multi-phased, mixed-use planned developments. His most recent projects include Spring Creek Ranch, Braystone Park, Twin Lakes, Washington Gates, Twinings of Collierville, The Pinnacle of Germantown, Addie Green, Allelon, and Viridian. Thompson also was involved with the development of the 443-acre Schilling Farms mixed-use community in Collierville, Thomas & Betts Worldwide Corporate Headquarters at Southwind, Sedgwick Center and The Cloisters of River Oaks. Thompson previously served as director of planning for Boyle for more than seven years. In this capacity, he was responsible for the oversight and coordination of all planning activities, including the approval processes required by local and state jurisdictions. Many of Boyle’s projects require rezoning, modification to planned developments, or specific site plan approvals. Thompson’s long-term working relationships and thorough understanding of the government approval processes are often crucial to successful project execution. In 2022, Gary was promoted to Senior Vice President.

Education:Thompson graduated from the University of Arkansas.

Civic and Community Involvement:Thompson currently serves on the Board of Directors for: The Collierville Chamber of Commerce. He has served on many boards, committees, task forces and commissions including the Memphis Area Homebuilders Association and the Memphis Chapter of Lambda Alpha International.

Honors and Awards:Thompson was awarded the American Society of Landscape Architects Honor Award for design excellence.
