Commercial Interior Space Planner

Responsibilities:McKinney is responsible for office space planning for the majority of the company’s office tenants. He also lends architectural support to the commercial property management team. McKinney oversees the refurbishment of the public areas of the company’s office buildings with responsibilities ranging from the selection of finishes and signage to the purchasing of original artwork.

Professional Record:McKinney has 25 years of experience in the architectural and construction industries. Prior to joining Boyle in 2018, McKinney was employed by the headquarters office of Long & Foster Companies in Chantilly, Virginia, where he served as manager of project planning for more than 25 years. In this capacity, he managed the space planning and design team for all of Long & Foster’s leasing offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic States. His responsibilities included meeting with leasing managers to understand their requirements for renovation of existing offices or the design of new offices; documentation of as-built conditions; preparation of space plans; and management of architects as they prepared construction documents to ensure the projects met the Long & Foster quality and standards.

Education:McKinney studied architectural drafting technology at the Maryland Drafting Institute in Langley Park, Maryland.

Civic and Community Involvement:McKinney served for six years in the United States Army Reserve.
